Privacy Policy

How we handle information — in plain English. The short version: we never sell your data, you own what you share with us, and you can ask us to hand it back or delete it at any time.

The plain-English summary

Privacy policies should be readable. Here is what matters most, and the detail follows below.

  • We never sell your data. Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to anyone.
  • You own what you share. Ask us for a copy, or ask us to delete it, and we will.
  • We don't feed your data to third-party AI training. Your information is not someone else's training set.
  • We're honest about our tools. This site uses HubSpot forms and Google reCAPTCHA, named plainly below, and no third-party analytics.
  • We don't overstate our security. See exactly what we do and do not claim on our Trust & security page.
  • Rights by region. California (CCPA) and EU/UK (GDPR) residents have specific rights, described below — and we extend the core ones to everyone.

Overview

Happy Technologies LLC ("Happy Technologies," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through this website, how we use it, how we share it, and the rights and choices you have. We wrote it to be understood, not to be survived.

What This Policy Covers

This policy covers information collected through this website (happy-tech.biz) and when you contact us about our services or products. When you become a client, the data we process on your behalf during a consulting or product engagement is governed by the written agreement for that engagement (and any data-processing addendum) — see Client & Engagement Data below.

Information We Collect

Information you provide. When you submit the contact form or email us, we collect what you choose to share — typically your name, email address, phone number, company, your message, and the page you contacted us from.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we use basic security and operational tooling that may collect technical information such as browser type, device information, pages visited, referring pages, approximate location, IP address, and interaction data.

How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • Respond to inquiries and service requests.
  • Schedule conversations, demos, or follow-up communications you asked for.
  • Improve website performance, content, and user experience.
  • Protect the site from spam, abuse, and fraudulent activity.
  • Maintain business records and meet legal or operational obligations.

We Do Not Sell Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information — period. We share it only in the limited circumstances below: with service providers who operate this site under contract, with your consent or at your direction, when required by law or to protect our rights and users, or as part of a business transfer (in which case we will say so). We may share aggregated or de-identified data that cannot reasonably identify you.

Service Providers We Use

We keep this list short and name it plainly. Each provider processes information under its own terms and privacy commitments:

  • HubSpot — processes contact-form submissions and manages our follow-up.
  • Google reCAPTCHA Enterprise — protects our forms from spam and abuse.
  • Google Firebase Hosting and Amazon Web Services (AWS) — host and serve this website and its assets.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

Yes, this site can set a cookie, but only where a feature needs one - we'd rather be specific than vague. We do not use Google Analytics or any third-party analytics, so no measurement or advertising cookies are set. Google reCAPTCHA sets a cookie to tell humans from bots when you submit our forms. We do not use advertising, retargeting, or cross-site tracking cookies, and we serve our own fonts, icons, and scripts rather than calling a third-party CDN, so no extra parties receive your IP just for the page to render. You can clear cookies anytime in your browser settings, though our forms and some features may not work as intended if you do.

Client & Engagement Data

When you engage us for consulting or a product, we may process data on your behalf. That data remains yours. Our handling of it is governed by the order form, statement of work, master services agreement, license, or data-processing addendum for that engagement — not by this website policy. As a rule: we process it only to deliver the engagement, we do not sell it, and we do not exfiltrate it to train third-party AI models.

AI and Your Data

We are an AI-native firm, and we hold a firm line on it: we do not use your personal information, inquiries, or engagement data to train third-party AI models, and we do not send it outside its boundary to become someone else's training set. Where AI is used to deliver our platform, it operates under the governance controls described on our Trust & security page.

Data Retention

We keep information only as long as reasonably necessary to respond to inquiries, provide services, maintain business records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. When it is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it. You can ask us to delete information sooner — see your rights below.

Your Privacy Rights

Everyone. Regardless of where you live, you can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information you have provided, request a copy of it, or opt out of marketing emails. Email privacy@happy-tech.biz.

California residents (CCPA/CPRA). You have the right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used and disclosed, the right to delete it, the right to opt out of its sale or sharing (we don't sell or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising), and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

EU / UK residents (GDPR). You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, objection to processing, and withdrawal of consent, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

We respond to rights requests within 30 days, or sooner where the law requires it.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards for the information we process, including encryption in transit and at rest on the enterprise cloud infrastructure we run on. No website or system can be guaranteed completely secure. In the spirit of candor, we tell you exactly which formal attestations we do and do not hold today on our Trust & security page — we would rather you verify than take a badge on faith. Found a vulnerability? Email security@happy-tech.biz.

International Data Transfers

We are based in the United States, and information we collect is processed there. If you contact us from outside the U.S., you understand your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for international transfers.

Children's Privacy

This website is intended for business users and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above shows when it was last revised. For material changes, we will make the update prominent on this page.
